What is period poverty?
Period poverty is the lack of access to the supplies needed in order to maintain menstrual health. In the US, an estimated 1 in 4 teens and 1 in 3 adults struggle or have struggled to afford menstrual products. For many individuals, this can cause them to miss school or work in addition to health issues.
How can we end period poverty?
Freeperiod.site utilizes a similar business model to Freewater. Ads are printed on packaging which generate enough money fully pay for the product and covers a donation to charity as well. This model can have higher success than traditional donation-based organizations which tend to lose momentum and funding. Freeperiod.site avoids this issue by generating profit.
